- Student Energy Savers Grant Drawing
For 2010, the organizers of LightsOut
Ohio will award a $5,000 grant to a school participating in the
LightsOut Ohio program. The grant is to be applied to an
energy efficiency upgrade for the building.
To qualify a school will need to:

Be located in Summit, Stark,
Portage, Medina, Ashland, Carroll, Holmes, Tuscarawas, Wayne or
Harrison County

Turn off at least some
non-essential lighting in student areas during school hours on
Earth Day, April 22nd.

Have a minimum of 60% of enrolled
students complete a take-home exercise no later than April 30th.
Sample take-home assignments are provided.

Register above for the LightsOut
Ohio program and confirm your intent to participate in Student
Energy Savers. Make sure you check the box for the Student
Energy Saver Grant Drawing. By checking the box:

Your school agrees to the terms
and conditions of the Student Energy Savers program

If you are a public school, you
acknowledge that your school administration provides permission
for your school to accept the award if your school is selected.
The winning school will be selected
in a random drawing of qualifying schools.
